The story behind Comfy Headbands

Comfy Headbands was started by parents who came across the Norwegian approach to children’s outdoor wear while living in Scandinavia. They noticed that Norwegian children playing outdoors in freezing temperatures weren’t wearing woolly hats. They were wearing headbands.

That answers a problem British parents face all the time: children who refuse to wear hats because they’re too hot, too itchy or uncomfortable during active play. A headband protects ears and forehead while letting heat escape, so children stay comfortable whether they’re playing football, cycling or building a snowman.

A practical product for British families

The idea is simple: protect what needs protecting and let the rest breathe. Headbands stay put through cartwheels and football headers, fit under helmets and, most importantly, children actually want to wear them.

As the Norwegian saying goes, “Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær”: there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.
